Blue Plaque on Station House

Birth place and home of Joan Sims 1930 to 1952.

Below is a paper cutting from 2005.  The article speaks for itself and shows just how much ‘Our Joanie’ was appreciated.

Station House stood empty for many years until 2001 when the estate agent ‘Quirk Deakin’ moved in.  It later became the temporary home of ‘Second Steps’, out of school club.

In 2012, it became a barbers and flower shop named ‘Renee Todd’,  run by mother and daughter, Renee and Ella Saunders.
