Memories

I lived with my parents in Laindon and moved there when I was 6 years old in 1948.  I went to Markhams Chase Primary and High Road Secondary Modern School, where Mr Woodward was the Headmaster, leaving school at 15 years old in 1957.

My family home was 6, Basildon Drive but was knocked down to make way for new roads and housing in and around the mid-sixties.  I now live with my wife in Shepperton, Surrey.

As a semi-professional singer/guitarist in the sixties to nineties, I played with many well-known acts including the Nolans in around 1986 and the photograph you see below was taken at the Bournemouth International Centre when they were appearing with Cannon and Ball.  I was a musician with the band at the time.

I have done a little bit of film extra work, my latest being in the film “The Theory of Everything” where I appeared singing in the choir in the church scene, but blink and you’ll miss me but you can hear the choir singing a piece of “Mozart”.
