Alfred William Ackers – 2nd Battalion, Essex Regiment – Corporal – 43504 Killed in Action 22nd April 1918 – age 28 – Cemetery, Chocques Military France – Victory and British War Medals – Son of the late William and Frances Ackers, Brook House, Laindon Common – Billericay War Memorial and St Nicholas Church Memorial.

John Andrews – 72nd Field Company, Royal Engineers –Acting Lance Corporal – 37312 – Died of wounds 29th April 1916 – age 33 – Cemetery, Amara War, Iraq – Victory and British War Medals – St Nicholas Church Memorial.

Benjamin Barker – Royal Navy, HMS Humber (River Monitor) – Able Seaman- Drowned 22nd November 1914 – age 37 – 1914 Star, Victory and British War Medal – Brother in Law of Mrs Elizabeth Barker, 4 Bedford Road, Laindon – Chatham War Memorial and St Nicholas Church War Memorial.

Frederick Bright – 2nd Battalion, Essex Regiment – Private – 3/1816 – Killed in Action 12th June 1915  age 24 –1914/15 Star, Victory and British War Medals – Son of Alfred and Racheal Bright, Church Road, Laindon – Ypres Menin Gate Memorial and St Nicholas Church Memorial.

Frederick Brockwell – 1st Battalion, Essex Regiment – Private – 10483 – Ded of Wounds 7th June 1916  age 27 – Cemetery, Etaples Military, France – 1914 Star, Victory and British War Medals – Son of George and Caroline Brockwell, York House, High Road, Laindon – St Nicholas Church Memorial.
