Laindon School Football Team

In my quest to find my ancestors, I found this news clipping that belonged to my dear father, Eric D. Barnett, who unfortunately passed away in 2010. He had fond memories of his childhood in Laindon and I wish I had asked more quesitions! As far as I can tell, he lived on Durham Road in Laindon with the Moett (spelling may be incorrect) family from about 1933 to at least 1939. He served in the British Navy Submarine Service during WWII, married my mother in 1951 and they moved to Canada in 1953. My sister and I were born in Canada in 1961 and 1963 and we all moved here to America in about 1965. I am seeking any information about my dad’s early life that I can find.
