Sponsorship/donations

New Logo

Following a previous post, we are still appealing for donations to help fund the transfer of the site to a new secure software as previously explained.

The following have kindly heeded our request but we are still some distant from our target of £2,000. If you know of anybody/businesses that might be willing to denote so that we can preserve our heritage for generations to come, please get in touch. Ken Porter  k.kfp@btinternet.com

  • Jeakins Removals Ltd – Denbigh Road.
  • Butler and English Funeral Directors (part of the Dignty Group)- Laindon shopping centre.
  • East & West Army Surplus Ltd – Wrexham Road.
  • Rawley Plant Hire Ltd –  Harvey Road, Basildon.
  • Individual Donations (three).

When the site has been transferred later in the year we will have individual pages dedicated to those businesses that have donated.

There will undoubtedly be some modification to the site, unfortunately due to a technical reason which I will not try to explain, we have to change our logo that appears at the top on the left hand side of our home page. The suggested new logo is of a plotland building, designed by Sue Ranford one of the archive members which has been digitalised by her nephew Paul Matthews. The reason for selecting an image of a plotland building is because we believe it depicts the district’s heritage.

The current logo will continue to be used on letter headed paper; banners etc., and hopefully we will be able to link it with the moving pictures on the home page of the new site.
