The following are two names that appear on the war memorial shown below that we do not have any details of other than their names and that of their parents. If anybody has any information on them or their families please let us know.
- William Brooks, born Whitechapel, son of George and Bertha Brooks, Windsor House, Windsor Road, Laindon.
- Arthur Jones, son of Frederick and Ellen Jones, Oakdene, Worthing Road, Laindon. His brother Leonard was killed on 23rd march 1918.

The name Stockwell, J. jumps out at me. There was a Donald Stockwell in my class at Langdon Hills School and LHR. The family lived on the south side of Vowler Road. Would this be the same family I wonder?
