  • Thank you for the pictures Barry. We lived in the bungalow “Jireh” in the 50’s between Dr Choudray and Cleggs the undertakers. I played in the cricket, football and rugby teams..Markham’s Chase and High Road school.
    Love to hear from anyone.

  • Hi Barry, I’ve been trying to locate Peter’s grave and Caron’s twin Colin’s grave. Do you have any information? Thanks, cousin Michelle.

  • Absolutely lovely photos thanks for many memories.  Hope more people come out with old photos.  Pity I destroyed many after my marriage what they call de cluttering.  I had many of my time in opera society also carnival time.  I do hope to come down one time soon to meet up with you.

  • Lovely pictures, Barry. Third pic down, Wiseman’s, Weedon’s & Howard’s (Westwood’s?) were our closest shops as we lived in Kings Road.

Right in the corner of Howard’s we’d take the short cut through to the petrol station on the way home from school (don’t think it saved much time, but it made a change, we were easily pleased 🙂
