While browsing through some old Southend District Times, Basildon & Laindon Recorders for 1956, I came across the following article – The question is – is this our Alan Davies who is a regular contributor to the site?
I think I vaguely recognize that young chap—but I am not sure about the hair!

It most definitely is. Alan will be visiting the UK in May/June this year. He plans to attend the Memory Day at the Laindon Library on 30th May and the Memory Walk on 31st May. All are welcome to attend both events.
