Dry Street Development - Road Names

I have just made my three monthly visit to the Redrow housing development off Dry Street, Langdon Hills, just check to see if any more roads have been named after Veterans who lost their lives in the conflicts of the 1900s.
I was pleasantly surprised to see that one more road has been named – JUDGE DRIVE – Arthur Judge saw action in the Second World War but it was during the Korean conflict (June 1950-July 1953) that he lost his life at the battle of Imjin River. I believe he was the only Laindon/Langdon Hills hero who lost his life in this conflict. – for more on Arthur, suggest you go to – Private Arthur Judge – Korean Hero.

  • Private Arthur Judge – l am his nephew, my father was his elder brother. I am so, so very proud that he has been recognised in this way it means more *so much more* than mere words can say! I am indebted to Ken for putting his name forward and to anyone else involved. THANK YOU SO VERY, VERY MUCH. David Judge
