Memory Day 25th May 2019.

Another successful Memory Day took place on Saturday 25th May. Despite it being a Bank Holiday weekend, around 25 people attended and enjoyed a morning of memories, stories and general chat in good company.  Many old photos were on display and as usual, refreshments were served half way through the morning.  The next of these very popular Laindon Archive meetings will be held at Laindon Library on 29th June from 10am until 12noon.  All are welcome.  If you could bring along any memories, stories and old photos of Laindon/Langdon Hills/Dunton, these would be greatly appreciated.  We look forward to seeing you.

  • This was my first memory day and was made to be very welcome by Nina who recognised me straight away and put me at ease. Then my old mate Tony Wood walks in and that’s when many memories came flooding back. Then I looked up and another blast from the past Norman Styles walks in and then the chat began and the time just flew. Just wish I had made the effort long ago and will definitely be there end of June.
