Memory Day at Laindon Library is proving to be as popular as ever at the beginning of 2017 as 26 people attended February’s meeting this morning. The photograph only shows twenty, as the other six couldn’t be fitted into the shot and we were fast running out of chairs for everybody!
This monthly social meeting consisted of several regulars and a few new visitors attending for the first time. A display of old photos pinned to the boards was enjoyed along with others that were passed around for closer inspection. Lots of stories were told and memories recalled while partaking of some welcome tea and biscuits.
Such an enjoyable time was being had, that we ran over our time by half an hour. The gathering eventually disbursed with everybody looking forward to the next meeting on March 25th and even more so to the Annual Display and Get Together on April 29th which will be held at the Manor Mission from 11am to 3pm.
