Update:- The War memorial and Silver Jubilee Fountain have been removed on behalf of Swan Housing by Momark the Queen’s own fine art and antiquities experts. The Memorial will be re-installed in a temporary position in a thoroughfare leading to the current Laindon Health Centre on Friday 16th August for approximately two years, before moving to its final resting place at the front of the Laindon Place development…this will enable us to continue to hold the remembrance day commemoration…the fountain will stay in storage until it is moved to its final resting place in the centre of a garden of roses. I have personally met with Swan Housing and am more than happy with their plans.
