Despite an Armed Forces Day event taking place in Basiildon Town Centre and the temptation of a paddle in the sea at Southend on this beautiful hot mid-summer day, 22 people attended our Memory Day at Laindon Library.
Considering the lovely weather outside, a smaller than usual attendance was anticipated. However, our corner of Laindon Library was soon filled with visitors who had come along to chat, share memories, look at the old photos on display while enjoying a refreshing cup of tea accompanied by assorted biscuits.
Our next get-together at Laindon Library is on Saturday 28th July from 10am to 12midday. New visitors are always welcome and any memories, stories and photos you can bring along would be very much appreciated. We look forward to seeing you there.
