  • I am sure that number 47 is John Bolton.

    By Alan Taylor (22/07/2023)
  • Number 5, I think it’s Graham Starkly?

    By Alan Taylor (12/04/2023)
  • No 1 is definitely Gordon Stevens.
I can recognise him because I look
at him every day in the mirror,
    when shaving. Does anyone
    know what happened to ‘Bobsie’
    Victor Hurley No. 2 ?

    By Gordon Stevens (06/02/2020)
  • On the photo of 1958, page 11 of 14, I am number 17 James (Jim) Reilly.

    By James Reilly (25/06/2019)
  • I can confirm number 60 is Robert George Riggs as he is my Dad and he died in 1997 of cancer via asbestosis.

    By ROBERT RIGGS (16/04/2018)
  • I am the daughter of Ed Burton-Cox (No. 61) – I have stumbled across this photo whilst researching my family tree. Sadly my dad died in 2000 but it would be amazing to hear if anyone has any memories of him.

    By Lisa Connor (26/04/2017)
  • I’m looking to trace Billy Crowhurst, he is my second cousin. I know he was a police officer for many years. My mother Gillian Moss is his first cousin. Any one know where I can find him?

    By Michael Holman (09/12/2015)
  • Dear Brian Cordell (cheekychappie), I can’t remember half; too many knocks on my hard-head!

Bestest wishes to my goodbuddy ’58  ClassMate: Derek Brazier, Cool Dude, ditto U2 Brian, fun then & now. rollon Spring.

    By Roger Wicking (05/02/2014)
  • Hi Roger. Nice to hear from you. The classic bike event is July 6th if you can make it. I’ll see if Derek Brazier can make it.

Just thinking it’s only about 60 years ago this time of year sledding down from Chataway’s Castle, happy days do you remember?

    All the best.

    By Brian Cordell (21/01/2014)
  • Yeah, I’ll go with you on that number 24 is Brian Payne (did see him in 70’s).

Brian, see you after Easter/July ’14’ at Battlesbrige with my Triple triumph Trident & some Norfolk Boyos,

    By Roger Wicking (20/01/2014)
  • Nice to see another name dropping in, Eric Perry who was in my year. Last time I remember seeing Eric was when he was friends with Johnny Biggs who had just bought a new white Vespa, I guess about 1963. Happy times.

    By Richard Haines (14/01/2014)
  • Roger, I am sure that no 24 is Brian Payne not Michael? All the best to you.

    By Brian cordell (13/01/2014)
  • Number 49 is me!  Eric Perry.  I now live in Norwich.

    By Eric Perry (11/01/2014)
  • Number 33 is Fred ? he lived in Royston Ave., just off Wash Road

    By Alan Taylor (30/09/2013)
  • Hi Richard, are you sure that no 24 is Martin Platt, I think 24 is older than us, but I don’t have a name. I remember Martin appearing in the middle of a school term, he never started in the September, with the rest of us, and as you said He didn’t stay long.

By Lesley Gibson nee Cousins (27/09/2013)
  • No 46 is John Austin.

By Lesley Gibson nee Cousins (27/09/2013)
  • No 46 is John Austin, and no 25 is definitely Ernie Siggers

By Lesley Gibson nee Cousins (27/09/2013)
  • Hi Lesley, no I am definitely not sure about Mart Platt. He did go around with us for a while during the 1959 summer holidays, myself and Mart Brown who I also still can’t place on here. The thing is, No 24 looks exactly like him, even down to that look on his face. If as you say he didn’t start early that year then No 24 can’t be him. He was a brilliant scholar and I think he may have passed 13 plus and moved on. Happy days.

    By Richard Haines (27/09/2013)

By Sandra Harris (Nee Cullis) (18/03/2012)
  • 62 Nick Logan

    By Richard Haines (09/03/2012)
  • 24 Martin Platt

    By Richard Haines (09/03/2012)
  • No 24 is not Michael Page. He is No 14 on page 12 standing next to Brian Cordell.

By Nina Humphrey (née Burton) (14/02/2012)

    By Roger Wicking (12/02/2012)
  • 19 is Chris Gibson.

    By Roger Wicking (11/02/2012)
  • Hi, He was only known at Primary school as Edwin Cox and I remember him because I was made to sit next to him for the rest of the term/year as a punishment for allegedly talking too much in class!

    By Linda French (23/01/2012)
  • 61 Think this may be Edwin Cox

    By Linda French (22/01/2012)
  • Linda, thats it Edwin Burton-Cox, he was friends with John Adie, sitting with him, both from the Dunton or Bulphan areas as I recall?

    By Richard Haines (22/01/2012)
  • Back again, I think 51 is Maurice Eldridge.

Editor: I will ask him next time I speak to him.

    By valerie Kingsley (Boatwright) (21/11/2011)
  • My neighbour Jill Adams (No. 10. Page 2) told me that No 10 Page 11 was her cousin Peter Bailey – she must be mistaken. Sorry about that. Nina

    By Nina Burton (16/11/2011)
  • Nina, the Peter Bailey I know from LHR was in my class starting 1959, in fact we had the same birthdate. Could be another Peter Bailey of course.

    By Eric Pasco (16/11/2011)
  • Number 18 is Tony Matthews. I will ask him to look at this page to see if he can put some more names to faces.

By Andrea Ash (Nee Pinnell) (16/11/2011)
  • 10 Robert Walden? (listed as Peter Bailey by Nina) Hi Richard, no Dongus models – you have some memory!! I can’t help with Mart Platt

    By Keith Jackson (15/11/2011)
  • No 59 is John Adie, I think, was listed on photo 8/no73

    By Keith Jackson (11/11/2011)
  • Ken, I thought that lad looked like a Siggers boy too!

By Andrea Ash (Nee Pinnell) (11/11/2011)
  • Keith, another one you can help on, is it Mart Brown above at 25 standing with Mart Platt? They were always together in the first year. Mart Platt left fairly quickly and moved to a different school. I was great friends with Mart Brown later on in 4x and 5x, we used to go to Basildon Mecca on Sunday evenings. Have you made any Dongus models lately?

    By Richard Haines (11/11/2011)
  • HY again, 7 Micheal Taylor, 9 Stanley Quinn, 11 Trevor Spurling, 26 John Thorpe, 27 Peter Georgiadis, 20 David Franklin, 31 Colin Clarke, I thought 25 was Ernie Siggers but someone has tagged him as Mart Brown, not sure which is right.
