  • Re above “Laindon postcard’ Bottom left the Primrose cafe. I stood in the doorway on September 3rd 1939 with several other Laindon friends and heard over the cafe radio, the famous speech by Neville Chamberlain that ended “Consequently we are now at war with Germany”
