  • Just a little aside to your memory day this Saturday the 25th April, this day is very big in Australia’s modern history. It is the 100th anniversary of the formation of the now famous ANZACS the Australian New Zealand Army Corps and their first baptism of fire at the infamous Gallipoli landings on the Dardenelles in Turkey in 1915. Alongside the British and French armies they fought fiercely and bravely and lost thousands of men but took their place in history as one of the allies best fighters of WW1. Lest we forget, R.I.P. all those that made the ultimate sacrifice in that most useless of wars.  Have a great day Laindoners, my thoughts are with you, Ken.

  • I am a member of the Essex Wildlife Trust, but sadly like many elderly residents can’t get to these places and meetings, so keep the info coming.
