Meet the Archive Team
These regular meetings allow you to meet the team and raise any questions you may have
The Team will be holding Memory Days at Laindon Library
- You will be able to meet a researcher who will assist you in adding any contribution you wish to make to the Archive.
- They will also be able to advise you on how you can submit your contribution directly on to the site.
- If you have photographs you wish to provide for an existing or future article they can be scanned for you and either added to an existing article or held ready to be inserted in an article you wish to submit.
- The photographs shown with this article were taken at one of our earlier memory days.

Remember we are trying to tell the history of your community and it will be incomplete without your contribution.
Memory Days at Laindon Library
Come and see us between 10am & 12noon
We will not be holding a memory day in December to enable you to enjoy your Christmas and New Year celebrations.

Contact a Researcher: If you are unable to visit us at the library on a memory day you can leave your contact details with the Library and they will pass the information on so that we can contact you and make arrangements to collect any information for the website.

Just a little aside to your memory day this Saturday the 25th April, this day is very big in Australia’s modern history. It is the 100th anniversary of the formation of the now famous ANZACS the Australian New Zealand Army Corps and their first baptism of fire at the infamous Gallipoli landings on the Dardenelles in Turkey in 1915. Alongside the British and French armies they fought fiercely and bravely and lost thousands of men but took their place in history as one of the allies best fighters of WW1. Lest we forget, R.I.P. all those that made the ultimate sacrifice in that most useless of wars. Have a great day Laindoners, my thoughts are with you, Ken.
I am a member of the Essex Wildlife Trust, but sadly like many elderly residents can’t get to these places and meetings, so keep the info coming.
