Brian Cordell
It is with great sadness that we have to report the passing of Brian Cordell another old Laindon stalwart. Brain went to Laindon High Road School and was one oft the famous Laindon Bikers.
Our heartfelt sympathy goes out to Odette and the family for their great loss.

I am shocked to hear of Brian Cordell’s passing. I was at Laindon High Road School, a few years younger than Brian but we are both somewhere on the 1958 photograph. When I was in the 5th year Brian had already left school but I clearly remember him roaring around Laindon bent low on the handlebars of whichever bike he was on that day. I always meant to meet with him at Battlesbridge one Sunday but as with many things in life I didn’t get round to doing it. In the photo above Brian is standing with another of my friends from back in the day, Freddie Sewell who I last saw in 1963 when my family moved away from Laindon. Rest in peace Brian, another special person gone but never forgotten.
