Info on house in Victoria Ave, Langdon Hills called the Rowans.

I lived at the Rowans in Victoria Ave Langdon Hills that was the name of the house. I lived with mum and dad and 8 brothers and sisters. What I would like to know is who owned it, as mum and dad paid rent, and when was it demolished and is anything left of the Ave. Thank You for your time   Jeff Footer

We have been unable to establish who owned the property ‘The Rowans’, although earlier Electoral Registers (1929 and 1949) show that the residents at those times were William and Margaret Pay.

Most of Victoria Avenue disappeared during the 70s when the new estate that became Valance Way and Delmores. Just a short length now reimains from Staneway through to Lee Chapel Lane.
